The cut extended scene from the ending of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, in which Ciri becomes a witcher, has been restored. It turned out to be a bit more heartfelt and with new details.

User merigoldmaribor on NexusMods has restored another deleted final scene from the third installment of "The Witcher." In the "good" ending of the main game, there is now a bit more content featuring Geralt and Ciri. After the girl receives a sword as a gift from Geralt, the scene continues.

"Yen is waiting in Ellander," Geralt says.

Ellander is a duchy inTemeria, located to the east of Vizima, the capital of Temeria, which appears in The Witcher 3 only as a former royal palace, while in the first game it serves as a major location.

"We can meet her in two days if we hurry," Ciri replies.

They then approach the door of the inn, and the game transitions to a black screen that triggers the credits. The alternative version of the scene mentions Triss if the player chose a relationship with her.

According to IGN, there’s no need to search for hints of The Witcher 4, also known as Project Polaris, in this scene. As Ciri states, it’s only a two-day journey to the duchy, which probably doesn’t indicate a location in the new game. However, nothing can be said for certain. Some speculate that Ciri will be the protagonist of the fourth Witcher, while Geralt, as previously reported, will be a secondary character.

Additionally, in the recent Canon comic "The Witcher: Curse of Crows," the story follows Ciri the witcher as she travels with Geralt and Yennefer in and around Novigrad. The events of the "Blood and Wine" expansion take place three years after the main game, ultimately leading to Geralt's retirement in Toussaint.
