CD Projekt Red is facing challenges due to the loss of experienced employees and its diversity policies. This was reported by insider Endymion, citing internal sources within the company.

According to Endymion, the studio has lost many veterans, including the game director of The Witcher 3 and other developers who had deep knowledge of the RED engine. This engine was utilized for the creation of the company's recent role-playing games.

The informant claims that CDPR is struggling to recruit specialists due to adherence to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This has forced the company to rely more on outsourcing for project development. Endymion believes that this situation prompted CDPR to switch to Unreal Engine for future games. The new developers lack sufficient experience with the RED engine, prompting the company to opt for a more widely-used technology.

Fans are eagerly awaiting The Witcher 4, which is already ready for full-scale development. Another reason for optimism is the assignment of the next part of Cyberpunk 2077 to Paweł Sasko—the individual who helped fix the original game post-launch.
