The Ukrainian educational platform robot_dreams has launched a competition for "bad coders," where the winner will receive a cash prize for the most bizarre one-liner code.
The company states that the goal is to energize the Ukrainian IT community and foster creativity — and, of course, this serves as a good marketing move since the prize money will only be offered as a deposit, which can be spent on any of their courses.
How to participate?
- Registration for the competition can be done via a bot on Telegram (they will ask for your email and phone number).
- Participants will then be prompted to solve one of the tasks (or come up with their own) using only a single line of code (up to 1000 characters in any programming language).
- The author of the most unusual code will receive a trophy and a $1000 deposit.
The jury consists of experts from leading IT companies in Ukraine — GlobalLogic, SoftServe, and Universe Group. Winners will be selected based on the following criteria: idea interest, execution originality, and, of course, code correctness and efficiency.
The results will be announced on October 31.
