During the Ubisoft Forward broadcast, the company showcased over 10 minutes of Star Wars Outlaws gameplay. The video includes a shootout in space, a brief tour of the iconic crime hub Mos Eisley, and the little helper of the main heroine Nix at work.
The game director, Mathias Karlsson, explains that one of the main motivations for traveling around the galaxy in Star Wars Outlaws is to search for experts who teach Kei new combat and survival skills. According to Karlsson, each planet has its own system to explore, offering many opportunities to earn credits that can be used or not.
Some missions involve space battles. After one of them, Kei increases her reputation in the Pike Syndicate from "bad" to "good". This is worth doing, as traders in the game are often associated with syndicates, and with a good reputation, they can offer special deals.
Kei landed on Tatooine and navigated the desert on a speeder. Then there was a stealth demonstration, as Kei and Nix made their way to a warehouse under guard, stealthily attacking enemies. Nix demonstrates his scanning ability - he moves his ears and marks enemies on the map. Overall, the gameplay seems engaging, especially intriguing to see what else Nix can do.
