The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have deployed remote-controlled M113 "Zelda" armored personnel carriers in Rafah. Heavy drones were also recently spotted in Jabaliya, and according to some reports, as early as February. The military uses unmanned APCs in high-risk areas to protect the lives of personnel.
The Gaza war unit tracker reports that an IDF commander familiar with this technology confirmed that remote-controlled M113s have been in use since the beginning of the war. Some of these vehicles are equipped with remotely controlled anti-tank weapons, providing additional firepower and operational flexibility.

Unmanned M113 vehicles are deployed in high-risk areas to reduce the number of casualties and serious injuries during complex urban raids. These vehicles enhance the IDF's ability to conduct operations in densely populated areas, minimizing the danger to soldiers.
The M113 "Zelda" APC is an Israeli modification of the American M113, adapted to the country's hot climate. The armored personnel carrier is equipped with mounts for 1x 12.7mm machine gun and 4x 7.62mm. The unmanned modification was created in 2014. The unmanned vehicle is controlled from a nearby vehicle. The crewless model can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h, carry a load of 4 tons, and deliver supplies to the front lines.
