Microsoft has restarted the pre-orders for the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on the Xbox platform, while developers GSC Game World have opened a channel for communication with fans.
Microsoft has resumed pre-orders for "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl" on the Xbox platform following the Developer Deep Dive presentation. This is a significant event for fans of the series, as the company had suspended pre-orders after the onset of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and postponed the release to 2023.
The developers at GSC Game World have also increased their interaction with fans. The studio's official Discord server has reactivated the ask_gsc channel, which was closed last year. Now, players can submit their questions through a special form, and the answers will be posted in a separate gsc-answers channel.
Microsoft is offering three editions of the game for pre-order: the Standard Edition costs ₴1598, the Deluxe Edition is priced at ₴2148, and the Ultimate Edition costs ₴2890. Each edition comes with its own set of additional content and bonuses.
The console version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will support 4K resolution and 60 FPS frame rates. Moreover, players will be able to use a keyboard and mouse on the console, which is a crucial feature for first-person shooters.
The game "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl" is set to be released on November 20, 2024, for PC, Xbox Series X, and Series S.
It's worth noting that recently at a gaming exhibition in China, GSC Game World showcased a new demo of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Journalists from IGN China had the opportunity to play the game for two hours and shared their impressions.
