This year, OnePlus is anticipated to launch a new series of smartphones, the Ace 5. The lineup will include at least two models: the OnePlus Ace 5 and the Ace 5 Pro. Thanks to insiders, we already have a wealth of information about these devices.
To recall, earlier this year, the OnePlus Ace 3 was announced, featuring a glass back for all color variants. The Chinese company has opted to use a different material for the OnePlus Ace 5 series—ceramic. This was shared by insider Wisdom Pikachu.
He also notes that the new smartphone will come with a battery capacity of approximately 6000 mAh. The device will support fast charging at 100W. Like its predecessor, the Ace 5 will lack wireless charging support.
Additionally, it is mentioned that the phone will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with curved edges. The 8T LTPO panel will provide a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
The OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Reports also indicate a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor. The device is expected to run on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15.
It is expected that the OnePlus Ace 5 will compete with the Redmi K80, which is also set to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Both series are anticipated to hit the market towards the end of the year.
