An insider has revealed information about the new OnePlus Buds Pro 3 wireless earbuds, which will replace the Buds Pro 2 model released in February 2023.
In a post on the social media platform X, Yogesh Brar claims that the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are set to launch as early as this week. OnePlus is apparently planning significant changes for its upcoming flagship earbuds. Interestingly, the charging case may feature a faux leather finish. While some smartphone manufacturers often use this material in their devices, this would be the first time OnePlus incorporates faux leather into a headphone case.
Real images of the Buds Pro 3 shared by Yogesh show the engraved L and R markings on the earbuds and a new white color option. This will mark the first time in many years that OnePlus releases a pair of white earbuds.

It is reported that each Buds Pro 3 earbud will feature an 11mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. An improvement in sound quality is expected due to enhanced tuning, with OnePlus allegedly collaborating with Dynaudio for this purpose. It's anticipated that the active noise cancellation system will be capable of reducing noise by up to 50 dB, which is an increase of 2 dB over its predecessor.
A significant increase in battery life is also expected. The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are claimed to provide a total battery life of 43 hours, which is 4 hours longer than the current flagship earbuds from OnePlus.
The preliminary price for the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 is expected to be around $170.
