The global premiere of Monster Hunter Wilds is set for early next year across all major platforms. This was announced during the PlayStation State of Play event.
Capcom has confirmed the release date to be February 28, 2025, with producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announcing that pre-orders are available starting today. Customers will have access to various exclusive bonuses.
Fans had anticipated that Monster Hunter Wilds would launch in early 2025, based on Capcom's latest videos and marketing strategies, and their guess was correct. The previous installment in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter World, was released on January 26, 2018.
While the producer did not reveal new details about Monster Hunter Wilds, the new trailer showcased a lot. At least three new monsters made an appearance, including a rather terrifying fire cockatrice, along with many other monsters, characters, and locations.
The trailer focuses on the game's narrative and a mysterious boy who seems to be central to it. Besides a semi-mythical creature believed by the boy, there is a hint at his enigmatic power.
