Finally, Paint officially receives an AI-powered image generator, but it won't be available to everyone.
Microsoft has announced the Cocreator feature - currently as an exclusive for PC Copilot+ devices (Asus and Dell have already announced their models in particular). Thanks to "diffusion-based algorithms," the tool can generate images based on text prompts, as well as your own doodles in the Paint program.
The company has already experimented with the AI image generator in Paint, and early versions of Cocreator have been available to developers and Windows Insiders since the fall. With the arrival of PC Copilot+, the feature becomes official.
During a demonstration at the Surface event, Microsoft showed how Cocreator combines your own drawings with text prompts to create an image. There is also a "creativity slider" that allows you to control how much AI can dominate against your original art.
Among other novelties for PC Copilot+: the Recall feature, which allows the PC to record all your actions and play them back on request; Live Captions - turns spoken words into English subtitles on the screen; as well as the Windows Studio Effects tool for video and audio calls with background filters, lighting adjustment, noise reduction, and a teleprompter.
