Lenovo is preparing to unveil new and more affordable Copilot+ PCs. Insider Evan Blass has shared a press release from Lenovo detailing various innovations that will be announced at the IFA 2024 exhibition. Among them, two laptops will be powered by the unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus chip.
Thus, Lenovo is set to announce the new Copilot+ PC IdeaPad 5x and IdeaPad Slim 5x models. Both feature an 8-core Snapdragon X Plus processor and a 14-inch OLED display, but they come in different form factors. The IdeaPad Slim 5x is a traditional laptop with a metal chassis, whereas the IdeaPad 5x is a 2-in-1 convertible device.
Currently, the cheapest option in the Copilot+ PC lineup is the Surface Laptop 7, starting at €1199. However, Lenovo's new models are expected to be at least €200 cheaper. The estimated price for the IdeaPad 5x is anticipated to start from €999, while the Slim 5x version will be even more affordable, beginning at €899. Both new laptops are expected to be available for purchase in September.
In addition to these models based on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor, Lenovo also plans to introduce several Copilot+ PC models featuring Intel and AMD chips. Among these are the 15-inch Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor, as well as the Yoga Pro 7 and the IdeaPad Slim 5 equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen chips.
