iOS 18 will allow you to pay via Apple Pay in third-party browsers on Macs and Windows PCs

Apple Pay options will be available in more web browsers (not just Safari) on desktop computers.

As reported by MacRumors, the Apple Pay feature will be available on desktop Chrome, Firefox on Mac, and even on Windows PCs. To do this, the browser will need to scan a special code using the camera of an iPhone with iOS 18 and complete the transaction on the phone.

On desktop computers, Apple Pay was previously limited to Safari on Mac.

This and other changes (including a bunch of AI features) are expected to arrive on iPhone this fall.
