Major Fallout 4 mod, Fallout London, will feature former Speaker of the UK House of Commons John Bercow as the voice actor for its robotic colleague.
Dean Carter, the project lead for Fallout London, revealed on Discord that the post-apocalyptic version of the UK capital will still have the Speaker of the House of Commons - in the mod, the position will be held by a robot. It will be voiced by John Bercow, who served as Speaker from 2009 to 2019.
"Imagine being in Fallout London and feeling so lucky to have all the talented voice actors on your team, and then making it even better by having both 'Doctor Who' actors... But the cherry on top? Who better to represent our modified Speaker of the House than a robot version voiced by John Bercow himself?" Carter wrote.
Fallout London was supposed to be released on April 23, 2024, but the main game developer Bethesda announced a surprise update for Fallout 4 that delayed the release. Previously, Carter had complained that Bethesda, which had indicated awareness of Fallout London, did not inform the team about the patch. "This, due to the lack of a better term, has puzzled us a bit," Carter said. Meanwhile, GOG store, a project partner, confirmed that Fallout London cannot be played with the Fallout 4 version from the Epic Games Store, as the store does not support rollback of updates.
