“A bummer,” but it came in handy for Musk's presentation.
Recently, Alcon Entertainment filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk, Tesla, and Warner Bros. Discovery over the unauthorized use of visuals from the film “Blade Runner 2049” during the presentation of Tesla's autonomous robotaxi. In response to the news of the lawsuit, Elon Musk made a brief comment on the social media platform X (Twitter): “That movie sucked.”

According to the lawsuit, during the video presentation, Tesla used AI-generated images from scenes of “Blade Runner 2049,” including a likeness resembling Ryan Gosling's character.
Interestingly, during the presentation, Elon Musk expressed admiration for Denis Villeneuve's film but stated that he dreams of a different future. He mentioned that out of the entire dystopia, he only liked the main character's coat.
Alcon Entertainment has noted that it wishes to have no ties with Tesla, X, or Musk's companies due to his “excessively politicized and unpredictable behavior, which sometimes borders on hate speech.”
“Blade Runner 2049” is a 2017 sci-fi film in which Ryan Gosling plays a Los Angeles police detective named K. The plot follows him as he uncovers a secret that could plunge the remnants of society into chaos and sets out to find former “blade runner” Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford).
The film grossed $259.2 million worldwide against a budget of $150 million. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds an 88% rating from critics and an 89% audience score.
