Honor has unveiled the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro smartphones, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, advanced cameras, and a large battery.

The Honor Magic 7 is equipped with a flat 6.78″ OLED display, while the Magic 7 Pro boasts a 6.8″ OLED screen with micro-curvatures. Both models support an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and achieve a peak HDR brightness of 5000 nits. The screens incorporate Honor's AI Oasis Eye-Care technology, which protects against polarized light and reduces blue light exposure.

The smartphones feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with two cores clocked at 4.32 GHz and six cores at 3.53 GHz. According to the manufacturer, combined with the Adreno 830 GPU, this configuration delivers a 40% performance boost in gaming. The devices include an advanced Honor liquid cooling system that maintains temperatures below 44.8°C during intense gaming.

The MagicOS 9.0 operating system is based on Android 15 and offers enhanced artificial intelligence features, including an AI assistant. The AI Face Swap Detection feature enhances the security of video calls.

The Honor Magic 7 features a 50 MP main camera with an OmniVision OVH9000 sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and stabilization. The Magic 7 Pro comes with a 50 MP OmniVision OVH9000 main camera with a variable aperture (f/1.4-f/2.0) and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens (Samsung S5KHP3) that supports 100x digital zoom and OIS, along with a 50 MP ultra-wide camera.

Both Honor Magic 7 models are equipped with a 50 MP selfie camera, with the Magic 7 Pro featuring an additional ToF depth sensor for enhanced 3D face recognition and portrait effects. The phones support AI photo effects, including AI Eagle Eye Burst, super portrait mode, and AI image enhancement.

The Magic 7 has a 5650 mAh battery, while the Magic 7 Pro has a 5850 mAh battery. Both devices support wired fast charging at 100 W and wireless charging at 80 W. The Qinghai Lake technology combined with the E2 chip enhances battery performance and extends lifespan. The specification for the Magic 7 battery does not mention the Silicon-Carbon technology used in the Pro's battery.

The Honor Magic 7 series features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor capable of unlocking the phone even with wet hands. There is also 3D facial recognition for unlocking. The smartphones are protected against water and dust according to IP68 and IP69 standards. They support 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and DTS Ultra technology for enhanced audio quality. The Honor Magic 7 measures 162.1 x 75.8 x 7.95 mm and weighs 199 g, while the Magic 7 Pro measures 162.7 x 77.1 x 8.8 mm and weighs approximately 223 g.

The Honor Magic 7 is available in five vibrant colors: Sunrise Gold, Moon Shadow Grey, Snowy White, Sky Blue, and Velvet Black. The Honor Magic 7 Pro offers four stylish color options: Moon Shadow Grey, Snowy White, Sky Blue, and Velvet Black. The Magic 7 starts at around ~$630 (12 GB / 256 GB) and goes up to ~$770 (16 GB / 1 TB). The Magic 7 Pro can be purchased in China for about ~$800 (12 GB / 256 GB) and up to ~$940 (16 GB / 1 TB). A global release of the smartphones is expected.
