Nissan has unveiled the electric speedster Ariya NISMO in Europe during the World EV Day event. This electric vehicle marks the return of the NISMO brand to the European market.
The Ariya NISMO features a powertrain that delivers 320 kW and 600 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds. Even on the highway, this speedster can go from 80 to 120 km/h in just 2.4 seconds.
The fastest Ariya has been meticulously tuned to ensure exceptional control and stability. The vehicle boasts a modified suspension, a balanced chassis, and speed-sensitive power steering.
Its 87 kWh battery provides "ample range for daily driving and active weekend adventures," though specific range details have not been disclosed. A 22 kW onboard charger ensures quick AC charging. Nissan has not provided any details about DC fast charging speeds, which may indicate that the NISMO version supports the same 130 kW as its "civilian" counterpart, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes.
The speedster features an aerodynamic design that includes elements like an extended lower bumper and a rear spoiler. This leads to a significant improvement in drag coefficient compared to the standard Ariya, along with enhanced downforce and stability at high speeds.
The electric vehicle Ariya NISMO will be available in four vibrant colors, featuring contrasting red accents around the lower body. This new model is expected to hit European roads in January 2025. The price for the electric speedster has not yet been announced.
