AMD has unveiled its new Ryzen AI Pro 300 processors, specifically designed for business laptops and corporate PCs.

The professional AI Pro 300 chips feature the latest microarchitecture and advanced integrated graphics, along with NPU technology, and are certified for Copilot+ PC. These processors include up to 12 powerful Zen 5 cores, an RDNA 3.5 graphics chip (with up to 1024 stream processors), and an NPU XDNA 2 delivering a performance of 50-55 TOPS.

The AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 series offers a variety of features for commercial PCs, such as remote management, enhanced security options (memory encryption, secure boot process, AMD Secure Processor 2.0, TPM 2.0), and cloud recovery. Many of these features will need to be activated through software, particularly in Windows, but AMD’s partners will likely introduce their own programs as well.

Currently, the AMD Ryzen AI Pro 300 lineup includes three processors: the 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 375 (with 55 TOPS NPU), the slightly slower 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 370 (50 TOPS), and the 8-core Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360. The HX chips have a TDP of up to 55 W and are intended for high-performance laptops and workstations, while the latter can operate with a TDP as low as 15 W. AMD claims that the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 delivers 9% higher performance compared to the Core Ultra 7 165U, while the Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 375 is 14% faster.

The new processors exhibit significantly improved overall and graphics performance compared to the AMD Ryzen Pro series 7040 and support Copilot+ capabilities, which will be released with the next Windows update in November. AMD promotes features such as live captions and real-time translation, Cocreator, and the controversial Recall function. The NPU supports various AI-driven programs from developers who have collaborated with AMD, including Adobe, Bitdefender, Blackmagic Design, Grammarly, and others.
