The most popular diesel cars of August 2024: RENAULT Duster, RENAULT Megane, SKODA Octavia and others

Yesterday, we explored the most popular cars in Ukraine equipped with gasoline engines. This time, we will focus on vehicles with diesel engines. In August 2024, Ukraine recorded over 8,100 of these cars for the first time. This represents a 2% decrease compared to August 2023.

Only 1,800 of the vehicles are new cars, accounting for 22% of the total. Compared to last year, the number of newly registered diesel engine cars saw an increase of 20%. At the same time, 6,300 used diesel vehicles were imported into Ukraine, which is 7% less than the previous year.

Among the imported used vehicles, the share of cars with diesel engines made up 25%, which is an 8 percentage point drop compared to last year, and their average age stands at 10 years.
