Telegram is enhancing the user experience by introducing a new way to interact with its browser and a Mini App Store for native applications.

“Today’s update brings a new built-in browser that supports multiple tabs and makes Web3 accessible to nearly a billion users, a Mini App Store, a new type of mini-apps, the ability to gift stars to friends, and much more.”

According to Telegram, over 500 million users engage with mini-apps in the messenger every month. These include games, artificial intelligence bots, and other features that complement the overall Telegram experience.

To assist users in discovering applications and improving access, Telegram is rolling out a Mini App Store that simplifies the installation of programs. An "Apps" tab will be available alongside chats featuring popular applications that open in the built-in browser.

“Developers can now upload video demonstrations and screenshots for mini-previews of their applications, so users know what to expect.”

The Telegram browser has also received enhancements. Instead of merely closing the browser, users can minimize it and save their progress on the page. This makes it easier to pause a session for a conversation or other activities and then continue from the page or application.

“The Telegram browser supports decentralized websites hosted on TON across all mobile apps and PC programs, making Web3 available to nearly a billion users every month.”

Telegram began rolling out the update yesterday, but it is unclear when it will be completed for all users. The new features are free and are not tied to paid users.
