Skoda is gradually revealing details about its future all-electric compact SUV, the Elroq. Ahead of its official debut, scheduled for October, Skoda has released sketches of the exterior that hint at what to expect.

The Elroq will serve as the electric counterpart to the popular Karoq crossover. Skoda has employed its new design language, Modern Solid, showcasing features such as the Tech-Deck Face—a sleek and completely covered front grille that symbolizes its electric heart. It will also feature split headlights with Matrix LED technology. The profile of the Skoda Elroq has a resemblance to its larger sibling, the Enyaq, while the rear boasts a spacious tailgate and familiar taillights, echoing Skoda’s estate car heritage.

Recently, Skoda also shared images of a camouflaged prototype of the Elroq, providing a more realistic view of its proportions. This electric vehicle is said to be available in a new Timiano Green color, accented with unique Dark Chrome details to help it stand out.

The interior of the Skoda Elroq will utilize eco-friendly materials, including recycled options. Skoda will offer four interior themes—Loft, Lodge, Suite, and Studio—to cater to various tastes. Additionally, the Elroq will feature a modern digital cockpit and the latest VW Group technologies, ensuring a connected and tech-savvy driving experience. The compact crossover will provide seating for five and 470 liters of cargo space.

Skoda has also shared details about the powertrains and battery options for the Elroq. The electric crossover is built on the MEB platform from the VW Group. It will be equipped with battery packs of 55 kWh, 63 kWh, and 82 kWh, with the largest offering a WLTP range of up to 560 km. The Elroq will be available with a single motor (located at the rear) or with dual motors. Rear-wheel drive versions will have outputs of 168 hp (125 kW) or 282 hp (210 kW), while the all-wheel drive version will provide a total power of 295 hp (220 kW).
