Remotely disarmed "Shaheds" fall in the field - MP says REB can deploy missiles

Russian-Iranian Shaheds are lying in the fields instead of causing damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. The National Police showed photos of UAVs without obvious signs of physical damage in open areas. It is likely that they did not reach the targets on their own, but it is not excluded that this is the result of the use of special weapons by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Electronic warfare means are capable of influencing the navigation and control systems of missiles and drones, in particular to "land" and change their course. This can make aerial weapons a more convenient target for air defense or completely neutralize them. At the same time, drones cause much less harm than if they were shot down and crashed. The corresponding means are provided to Ukraine by allies together with air defense means or separately. But there are also domestic developments.

People's Deputy Alexander Fedienko, commenting on the photo on his Telegram channel, hinted at the development and capabilities of Ukrainian EW:

"Yes, Ukraine has modern developments (not just one) that can interfere with the navigation systems controlling such means as in the photo."

The deputy claims that Ukrainian defense forces can not only land but also deflect UAVs and missiles:

"It's a matter of time before the rockets and shaheds attacking us by the Russians fly back. It needs to be worked on, but believe me."

Fedienko talks about hundreds and thousands of such devices that are currently being installed across the country. Referring to open sources, the deputy says that the development of these projects was carried out with budgetary funds. However, he notes that unfortunately, this method cannot be used to combat ballistic missiles.

In an interview with "Military", the head of the Main Radioelectronic and Cyber Warfare Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Pavlenko, noted that, despite significant capabilities, EW means cannot replace air defense, are part of it, and are intended for close interaction.

According to him, EW means are part of air defense troops. As a result of EW actions, missiles change altitude and trajectory and become easier targets for air defense. He called it incorrect to think that EW can replace air defense – they work together.
