Alongside the compact and rugged smartphone Motorola Edge 50 Neo, the company has also introduced a pair of budget-friendly devices: the Moto G55 and Moto G35. The new models feature nearly identical specifications, although the higher-end Moto G55 boasts a slightly better camera and a more powerful processor with a wider range of memory options.
The Moto G55 is equipped with a 6.5-inch IPS display that offers FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. In contrast, the Moto G35 sports a slightly larger 6.72-inch screen, maintaining the same other specifications.
Both models come with a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The Moto G55 has the added benefit of optical image stabilization for its main camera module. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is integrated into the circular cutout on both smartphones' displays.
Under the hood, the budget-friendly Moto G35 is powered by the Unisoc T760 processor, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and either 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The Moto G55, on the other hand, features a more robust Dimensity 7025 processor, with options for 4, 8, or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. In both cases, a microSD card can be installed for up to 1 TB of additional storage.
Both smartphones feature the same 5000 mAh battery. However, the G35 supports charging up to 18 W, while the G55 is capable of faster charging at 33 W. Both devices have fingerprint scanners located on the side of the body, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The new models run on Android 14 with Motorola’s proprietary Hello UI interface.
The Moto G35 is available in Leaf Green (vegan leather), Guava Red, and Midnight Black, starting at €199. The Moto G55 is priced at €249 and comes in Twilight Purple (vegan leather), Smoky Green (vegan leather), and Forest Grey.
