HP has announced the upcoming release of the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14, which is based on the new flagship Intel Core Ultra 9 200V processor. The device features a convertible design that allows users to easily switch from a laptop to a tablet.
The new model boasts a 14-inch touch OLED display with a 3K resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The panel supports a variable refresh rate between 48-120 Hz and is also compatible with stylus input.
A key update in the lightweight laptop segment from HP is the new Core Ultra 200V processor, codenamed Lunar Lake. The OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is a premium device available with either the Core Ultra 5 266V or the Core Ultra 9 288V processors. Both versions come with 8 cores, but they differ in clock speed, integrated graphics, and NPU performance. The various processors offer different RAM configurations, allowing the system to feature either 16 GB or 32 GB of non-expandable RAM.
Since the CPU, GPU, NPU, and even memory are integrated into a single package, there should be ample space for other components within the chassis. However, the battery capacity is only 64 Wh, and details regarding the cooling system have not been provided. Additionally, it is worth noting the unusual placement of the USB ports on the rear panel, which are located at the corners near the hinges.
According to HP's official press release, the OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 will be available for a starting price of $1499.
