Acer has announced six new laptop models: the ultra-lightweight TravelMate P6 14 AI, the standalone Swift 16 AI, and the gaming Nitro V series. These devices feature the latest Intel Core Ultra 200V, AMD Ryzen AI 300, and Snapdragon X Plus processors.
Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI
The TravelMate P6 14 AI is classified as a Copilot+ PC and weighs under 1 kg. It is powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V processors.
The latest TravelMate boasts a 14″ IPS display with resolutions of 2880×1800 or 1920×1200 (touchscreen) and a brightness of 400 nits, covering 100% of the sRGB color spectrum with slim bezels. The processors can support up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM. The laptop features a PCIe 4.0 SSD of up to 1 TB.
The 65 Wh battery provides up to 14 hours of usage on a single charge. Its silent keyboard has a key travel distance of 1.55 mm and includes a microphone mute button. Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI supports wireless Wi-Fi 7 with speeds up to 5.8 Gbps and Bluetooth 5.4. It includes USB 4 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, HDMI 2.1, and two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports.
When the NPU is active, the AI logo on the TravelMate P6 14 AI's touchpad illuminates. The Acer Experience Zone within the TravelMate Sense application offers robust AI capabilities. Acer Assist utilizes large language models and local files to answer questions, summarize documents and databases. Acer LiveArt 2.0 can remove backgrounds from photos and create depth maps on 2D images.
Acer QuickPanel activates automatically when the camera is turned on, allowing for quick adjustments to the camera and microphone settings. Acer PurifiedView 2.0 ensures smooth streaming during video calls by optimizing power consumption through the NPU. Features such as Portrait Refinement, Gentle Lighting, and Super Sharp can enhance appearance and lighting. The triple-microphone array, Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0, reduces background noise and enhances voice clarity.
Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI will be available in January 2025, starting at $1499.99 (€1349).
Acer Swift 16 AI, Swift 14 AI, and Swift Go 14 AI
The ultra-slim laptops Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI have also received the Copilot+ PC designation and are equipped with Intel Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake processors. They are secured via Windows Hello and offer login through fingerprint or facial recognition using a 1440p QHD IR webcam. Additionally, there is a proximity sensor that detects user presence and automatically locks the screen when it’s unoccupied. These laptops also incorporate Acer's AI features.
The aluminum lid of the laptops sports a dynamic rainbow effect icon, and the touchpad features an AI activity indicator that lights up when the NPU is active. The lids can be effortlessly opened with one hand to a full 180°.
Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI are equipped with 90Hz refresh rate OLED displays certified for HDR TrueBlack 500. The Swift 14 AI comes with a 14″ OLED display available in either 3K or 2K resolutions, while the Swift 16 AI lineup features a 16″ 3K OLED display. There are also IPS models available with either touchscreen or non-touchscreen options.
The laptops have up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8448 memory and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage. Network connectivity is ensured through Wi-Fi 7, alongside Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1 ports, and USB Type-C connectors with Thunderbolt 4 support. The Acer Swift 14 AI with Intel provides up to 29 hours of battery life.
The Acer Swift 14 AI utilizing the new Intel processors will be available in September starting at $1199.99 (€1199). Acer Swift 16 AI will launch in October for $1199.99 and in December in Europe for €1299.
The Swift Go 14 AI features the latest 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus SFG14-01 processor running at clock speeds of up to 3.4 GHz and includes the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU. These laptops have record battery life, capable of running for up to 28 hours without being plugged in. They come with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage of up to 1 TB.
The Swift Go laptops powered by Qualcomm processors feature 14.5″ IPS displays with a resolution of 2560×1600 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz while covering 100% of the sRGB color space. The sound is produced by dual speakers with DTS:X Ultra support. They have a 1440p QHD IR camera with a privacy shutter, two USB 4.0 Type-C ports that support fast charging, two USB Type-A ports, as well as Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
The Acer Swift Go 14 AI is set to launch in September starting at $999.99 (€999).
The Swift 14 AI with new AMD Ryzen AI 300 Strix Point processors boasts impressive battery life, reaching up to 27 hours of run time. They also offer Acer’s AI and security features and weigh only 1.32 kg.
The highest configuration features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 chip. The laptops can be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSDs of up to 2 TB. They come with a 14″ OLED display at 2880×1800 with VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certification. Maximum brightness hits 500 nits with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. There are also IPS options with refresh rates of 120 Hz and touch or non-touch screens available.
Additionally, they include DTS:X Ultra technology and a 1440p QHD IR HDR camera. Connectivity options encompass Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 along with two USB Type-C ports (including USB4 and charging), two USB Type-A 3.2 ports, and HDMI 2.1.
The Acer Swift 14 AI with AMD processors will be sold starting in September for $1199.99 (€1199.99).
Gaming Laptops Acer Nitro V 14 and Nitro V 16
The compact yet powerful Acer Nitro V 14 is designed for gaming on the go with its small form factor. It features a 14.5″ display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 or 1920 x 1200, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a response time of 3 ms. Gamers will also appreciate the MUX switch that allows manual switching on or off of the iGPU.
Gaming performance is driven by AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processors paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics cards. The third-generation power management system intelligently controls the battery for maximum runtime.
Users can monitor the laptop’s performance in real time using the NitroSense application, which acts as both a system control center and a library for AI functions. The Acer Nitro V 14 will be released in September starting at $1099.99 (€1199).
Nitro V 16 features a screen refresh rate of up to 180 Hz, a 16″ diagonal, and a resolution of 2500 x 1600. It also includes a GPU switch. The Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 deliver excellent gaming performance.
The new laptops with NVIDIA graphics also include some of Acer’s AI features, such as PurifiedView and Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 via a webcam with three microphones and noise cancellation. Microsoft Copilot is also supported. The Acer Nitro V 16 will launch in October at a starting price of $1299.99 (€1449).
