And what are your excuses for not being able to finish the game?
Tortellini, the goldfish of content creator Eric Morino, known as PointCrow, has astounded the gaming community with its accomplishment in Elden Ring. Thanks to a unique control system, the fish managed to defeat the Promised Consort Radahn, the final boss of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Morino developed a special setup that allows Tortellini to control the game by swimming in a fish tank. Depending on the fish's position, the system interprets its movements as button presses on a game controller. This approach enabled Tortellini not only to play but also to achieve significant success in this challenging game.
The livestream of the boss battle lasted over eight hours on Twitch. Before the fight began, Morino applied several character buffs, using the Wondrous Physick and the Golden Vow spell. After that, he turned the controls over to his aquatic assistant.
Tortellini showcased impressive tactics, wielding the dual weapon Great Stars, which inflicts bleed damage on enemies. The fish also used healing at the right moments, which was key to its victory. When the boss took its final hit, Morino exclaimed joyfully, "That's my goldfish! We did it!"
It's worth noting that experiments with fish playing video games can sometimes lead to unpredictable outcomes. Last year, during a similar stream with Pokemon Violet, a fish accidentally entered the Nintendo eShop and made a purchase of 500 yen using the owner's credit card information. Fortunately, Tortellini avoided such incidents by focusing solely on the game.
