Sony held a major State of Play presentation on the night of September 25. During the stream, viewers were shown nearly twenty gaming projects. We have picked the most exciting highlights.
Ghost of Yotei
The highlight of the presentation was the announcement of a future project from Sucker Punch Productions. Their new game, Ghost of Yotei, will continue the story of Ghost of Tsushima. Ghost of Yotei will transport players to Hokkaido, at the foot of Mount Yotei. The main character, Atsu, will traverse the wild lands alongside a mysterious wolf companion. The release is tentatively scheduled for 2025.
Alan Wake II: The Lake House
The second expansion for the game from Remedy Entertainment is set to arrive this autumn. The add-on is titled Lake House. The developers promise to share the exact release date soon.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
A new gameplay trailer for Dragon Age 4 has been revealed. The game's release is set for October 31.
Astro Bot
This autumn, Astro Bot players will receive a delightful surprise — a large free update. It will enrich the game with new locations to explore and additional bots.
Palworld
The release of Palworld on PlayStation 5 has been announced. The game is set to launch today.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
The remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn will be released on October 31. Owners of the original game on PlayStation or PC will be able to upgrade to the remaster for $9.99.
The Midnight Walk
A horror game with a unique aesthetic is coming to PS5 and PS VR2. The project is being developed by the creators of Lost in Random. The release is scheduled for spring 2025.
Hell is Us
The gameplay trailer for this adventure game, set in a war-torn country, has been shown for the first time. The release is planned for 2025. The project is being spearheaded by Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, known for his work on Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided.
Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade will receive a crossover from Nier: Automata in a new DLC, along with a photo mode. The exact release date is currently unknown; however, both additions will be released this year.
Metro: Awakening
Metro Awakening is a new VR game in the Metro series offering players a first-person narrative adventure. It combines atmospheric exploration, stealth elements, and intense combat scenes. It is set to be released on November 7, 2024, for PS5 and PS VR2.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom has announced that the game will be released in February 2025. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed that pre-orders will begin soon. Players who pre-order will gain access to several unique bonuses.
Archeage Chronicles
This is a multiplayer role-playing game. The release is scheduled for 2025.
PlayStation 5 Pro
Sony has announced seven new games that will receive enhancements for the PlayStation 5 Pro console.
