Cristiano Ronaldo has added another victory to his collection of accolades — his new YouTube channel achieved the fastest milestone of one million subscribers in the platform's history, taking just 1.5 hours.
Currently, the channel named UR has over 18 million subscribers.
On his page, the 39-year-old athlete promises to share not just football-related video content but also insights about his “family, health, nutrition, training, recovery, education, and business.”
“I have always enjoyed having strong relationships with fans on social media, and my YouTube channel will provide me with another great platform for this,” Ronaldo stated.
It seems the football star is keeping his promise regarding the content, as he has uploaded 12 videos to the channel within just a day of its launch.
Throughout his football career, which spans over two decades spent at clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, Ronaldo has won 33 trophies, including five UEFA Champions League titles, five Ballon d'Or awards, and a record three UEFA Player of the Year awards. Currently, Cristiano holds records for the most matches, goals, and assists in both the Champions League and the European Championship, as well as for international goals and matches. He has scored over 890 official goals in his career, making him the all-time leading scorer.
Cristiano is still a far way from the absolute YouTube record — the title of the most subscribed individual on the platform currently belongs to MrBeast (311 million). However, considering the rapid growth in his viewer count and his overall number of followers on other social media platforms, the potential is there, and it's quite promising (Cristiano has around 917 million followers across all registered platforms).
