Who would have thought that reading about deaths in a game would cost more than the game itself?
Fans of Elden Ring will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the game world thanks to a new book about its mythology. Publisher Tune & Fairweather announced the release of a 500-page volume "Grace Given: The Mythology of Elden Ring."
The book is authored by popular YouTuber Geoff Truscott, known by the pseudonym SmoughTown. His channel has over 230,000 subscribers and features almost 200 videos dedicated to the lore of FromSoftware games and other well-known projects.
The edition will be adorned with over 150 illustrations by artists Shimhaq, MenasLG, Chris Lewis Lee, and Elliot Wells. The book will be bound in antique white artificial leather, have a silk title page, and a velvet slipcase.
Fans will be able to choose one of three editions. The basic version will cost $278. The limited edition for $777 will also include a wooden "Erdtree Arch" case and gold embossing on the pages. The most expensive version for $1109, available only until August 10, will allow the owner to have their name printed in the book.
Pre-orders placed before August 10 guarantee free shipping and receiving electronic and audiobook versions after their release. Ten buyers of the standard edition will have a chance to win a limited version, and early buyers of the limited edition will receive an exclusive art print "Grace of Gold."
Publisher Tune & Fairweather has experience working with content creators about FromSoftware games. Among their previous works are books about Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, and Bloodborne.
The release of "Grace Given" is planned for early 2025. Publishers promise that more affordable versions of the book will be available in the future. It is worth noting that the edition will not contain information about the recently released Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
