At the IFA 2024 exhibition, LG unveiled the new ultra-slim LG Gram 16 Pro laptop, which is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200V series processor (Lunar Lake). This marks LG's first laptop featuring a next-generation AI processor.
The LG Gram 16 Pro boasts an incredibly slim profile, measuring just 12.4 mm thick and weighing 1199 grams. Despite its compact dimensions, the device offers a high-quality display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
The new Intel Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) processor delivers impressive performance for artificial intelligence tasks:
- Up to 48 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) for the neural processing unit (NPU)
- Up to 67 TOPS for the graphics processing unit (GPU)
- Total platform performance for AI tasks reaches 120 TOPS
With such specifications, the LG Gram 16 Pro qualifies as a Copilot+ PC—a device optimized for use with advanced Microsoft AI tools.
LG emphasizes that the new model can efficiently handle "advanced artificial intelligence features, such as productivity assistants, text and image creation tools, as well as collaboration resources."
LG plans to expand the Gram lineup by introducing more models with AI processors following the release of the LG Gram 16 Pro featuring the Intel Core Ultra 200V. This aligns with the company's "Affectionate Intelligence" concept, which aims to understand customer needs and provide a unique user experience that goes beyond traditional AI.
