PlayStation has unveiled the final trailer for the revamped version of the horror game Until Dawn, set to release on October 4 for PC (Steam, Epic) and PlayStation 5.
The story of Until Dawn revolves around a group of young friends who arrive at a cabin on Blackwood Mountain. A year earlier, two of their friends went missing from this location. As the plot unfolds, the characters find themselves at the center of mysterious events, beginning with an unknown assailant and escalating to something far more menacing and inhuman.
The game features performances from well-known actors, including Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, Brett Dalton, Meghan Jett Martin, Noah Fleiss, and Jordan Fisher.
Ballistic Moon is developing the remaster using the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. The enhanced version promises to immerse players in a terrifying atmosphere with realistic graphics and improved gameplay.
- Until Dawn is an interactive horror game that debuted in 2015 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Developed by Supermassive Games, the title quickly garnered critical acclaim (with a Metacritic score of 79 points) and player appreciation due to its gripping storyline and innovative approach to the genre.
- A key feature of Until Dawn is the "butterfly effect" system, where every decision made by the player, no matter how minor, can significantly impact the narrative and the fate of characters. This provides high replayability, as each playthrough has the potential to be unique. Until Dawn blends elements of classic slashers, supernatural horror, and psychological thrillers.
