Cars with gasoline engines continue to be the most popular choice among Ukrainians. In September 2024, Ukrainians purchased 2.1 thousand new cars with gasoline engines out of a total of 5.7 thousand new passenger vehicles. Thus, models with gasoline internal combustion engines account for 37% of all registered vehicles.
At the same time, it is noted that in September 2024, there was a 20% decrease in the registration of new gasoline passenger cars in Ukraine compared to the same month in 2023. Additionally, the share of gasoline cars in total new passenger car sales has also declined. A year ago, they made up 46% of the market.
The leader in the new gasoline car market last month was the MAZDA CX5 crossover.

- HYUNDAI Tucson — 109 units;

The demand for imported used passenger cars with gasoline internal combustion engines also decreased — by 16%, down to 7.8 thousand units. However, among used cars, the share of gasoline versions accounted for 46% of initial sales compared to 44% in September 2023. The average age of imported used passenger cars with internal combustion engines is 10.6 years.
