It appears that the development of The Witcher 4 has entered a crucial phase.
CD Projekt RED has made significant strides in creating the next installment of the Witcher saga during the first half of 2024. The company's CFO, Piotr Nielubowicz, announced that the project is ready to transition to a new stage of development.
“The Polaris team, which is working on the next game in the Witcher universe, has made considerable progress. This will soon allow us to complete pre-production and move the project into full production,” Nielubowicz stated.
The number of developers involved in the project has also increased. According to CD Projekt RED, while there were 407 people working on the game in April 2024, this number rose to 410 by July.
Previously, CD Projekt indicated plans to commence full-scale production in the second half of 2024. Based on the new comments from the CFO, it seems the studio is on track with its timeline.
