There is a new arrival in the ranks of AI gadgets - the company Limitless has introduced a new wearable device called Pendant, which somewhat resembles a clip or a pendant. The essence is that you wear it all day, and it records your conversations and analyzes them to provide a summary in the end.
Similar to AI Pin, which was recently criticized by reviewers, Pendant can be attached to clothing or worn on a cord around the neck. The pendant is part of the overall Limitless ecosystem, and in general, similar functions to Pendant can be used in a separate application and without the device itself (there is a webpage on the Internet, as well as applications for Mac and Windows).
"The main work is related to meetings. Preparation for conversations, transcription, real-time notes, and providing summaries," says Limitless CEO Dan Siroker.
According to Siroker, the device's battery "will last for 100 hours." Pendant will also use technology that helps the microphone focus directly on the person talking nearby and eliminate background noises.
The device has a "consent mode" - if the system detects a new voice and does not hear consent for recording, it will not start recording; as well as an indicator that will light up during recording.
The price of Pendant is $99, but an additional $20 per month will be required for a subscription. The device will go on sale in August.
