Škoda has officially unveiled the new Elroq — the brand’s first fully electric model. This compact crossover offers a wide range of powertrain and battery options, boasting a maximum range of over 560 kilometers.

The Škoda Elroq serves as an electric alternative to the Karoq and features a competitive price across many markets. It is the first model from the brand to adopt the Modern Solid design language. The vehicle showcases new visual elements, such as a black Tech Deck Face.

The glossy black Tech Deck Face replaces the traditional Škoda grille while still referencing the brand's familiar lines. The new front end is also characterized by a robust bumper featuring a unique dark chrome insert, and the distinctive Škoda "four eyes" headlight layout has been completely reimagined. The Elroq is the first model to display the Škoda logo on both the hood and the steering wheel. With a drag coefficient of 0.26, the Elroq features an aerodynamic body.

Specifications of the Škoda Elroq

The Škoda Elroq is built on the MEB platform. The electric vehicle is available with three different battery sizes and powertrains. The base model, Elroq 50, starts with a power output of 125 kW. The Elroq 85x includes an additional front axle motor for all-wheel drive. The Elroq 85 can achieve a maximum range of over 560 kilometers under the WLTP cycle. Charging at up to 175 kW on DC fast chargers allows the Elroq 85x and rear-wheel-drive Elroq 85 to recharge from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes. The smaller batteries in the rear-wheel-drive Elroq 50 and Elroq 60 can be charged even quicker — in 25 minutes or less. The top speeds for the Elroq 50 and Elroq 60 are 160 km/h, while the more powerful models can reach 180 km/h. Detailed specifications for the different versions are shown in the table below.

The all-wheel-drive variant Elroq 85x is set to debut in 2025, at which time detailed specifications will be announced.

The Elroq will also be available in the Sportline trim, which adds sporty interior design elements that resemble carbon fiber, a lowered chassis (15 mm at the front and 10 mm at the rear), and typical black exterior details. The front features sporty seats with integrated headrests, upholstered in Suedia material with gray stitching.

The Elroq boasts a trunk capacity of 470 liters (up to 1580 liters with the rear seats folded down). The interior features a standard 13-inch infotainment screen and SmartLink. It also includes new Simply Clever features, such as compartments with a capacity of 48 liters and a storage net for the charging cable under the shelf. The standard equipment package encompasses driver assistance systems: a rearview camera, Crew Protect Assist (passenger protection assistant), and Side Assist (blind spot monitoring).

Škoda Auto will launch a configurator and start accepting pre-orders for the new electric Elroq in twelve European markets starting from October 2, with plans to roll out in other markets later. In addition to the Elroq 50 and Elroq 85 options, a limited First Edition version will be available at launch, featuring a special branding design that includes a Light Band connecting the headlights visually, as well as a black-painted roof and A-pillars. The starting price for the Škoda Elroq in Europe is expected to be around €33,000.
