Realme has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone — the Realme GT7 Pro. This device, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, introduces the world’s first underwater photography mode. The new model also features a large battery and one of the brightest displays available in the market.
Specifications of the Realme GT7 Pro
The Realme GT7 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch Eco2 OLED Plus display, developed by Samsung. Reports suggest that this is the most energy-efficient display in the industry. It reaches a maximum brightness of 6000 nits, setting a new record. The display is equipped with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is complemented by either 12 or 16 GB of RAM, as well as built-in UFS 4.0 storage options of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB. There is no memory card slot. The device is protected against dust and water and has an IP68/69 certification.
On the back of the Realme GT7 Pro is a triple-camera setup. This includes a primary 50-megapixel module based on a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX906 sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture lens. Additionally, it features a 50-megapixel telephoto module with a Sony IMX882 sensor (1/1.95-inch) and OIS. The ultra-wide module remains the same as in the GT5 Pro model — an 8-megapixel 1/4-inch Sony IMX355. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is located in the circular cutout of the display. As the GT7 Pro has water and dust resistance, Realme has developed a special underwater photography mode, enabling the phone to function as an action camera.
The battery of the Realme GT7 Pro has a capacity of 6500 mAh — a new record for this brand's smartphones. It supports 120W SuperVOOC fast wired charging. However, there is no mention of wireless charging. The smartphone includes an infrared port and stereo speakers, but lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device runs on the Android 15 operating system with Realme UI 6.0 overlay and various AI features. These include Sketch to Image, Motion Deblur, and AI Snap Mode for enhancing photos and editing images, as well as Game Super Resolution and Gaming Super Frame for improving the gaming experience.
Price
The price of the Realme GT7 Pro in China starts at $505/€465 for the 12/256 GB memory configuration. International sales are set to begin later this month. Users can choose from Mars Orange and Galaxy Grey colors, as well as a white variant that will be exclusive to China.
