After the interest in the Fallout series and games, the appearance of franchise characters in the Epic multiverse was only a matter of time. New information about the third season of Fortnite confirms this.

Epic posted an image on Twitter of a person in Fallout power armor in a smoky club. There also seems to be something resembling an oil refinery emitting smoke from pipes—likely a place for exploration during the third season. It is almost certain that players will receive a corresponding skin as part of the new season's theme. Additionally, there may be enemies in power armor.
Rumors about Fortnite predicted that the third season would be dedicated to the apocalypse, and a crossover with Fallout fits this theme perfectly. The end of the second season is scheduled for May 24, so it is likely to be the start date of the new season as well. Considering the usual promotions for such launches, much more teaser content can be expected soon. It is unknown exactly what the Fallout content in Fortnite will include: it could be just separate skins or a fully developed setting with quests and enemies.
Interestingly, researchers of Call of Duty Warzone previously found evidence of a crossover with Fallout in that game as well. Like with the Fortnite third season, information about this is scarce.
