Moonbix is a cryptocurrency game featuring Binance branding within a Telegram mini-app. Details regarding rewards and tokenomics are currently unavailable. Interestingly, two other cryptocurrency exchanges, OKX and Kucoin, released their similar games much earlier.
So why did Binance choose to launch this now? It may have something to do with the fact that the founder of the largest cryptocurrency exchange, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), will be released from prison on September 29 after serving a four-month sentence. He was punished after admitting guilt for violating the Bank Secrecy Act by failing to implement an adequate Know Your Customer (KYC) program on Binance.
Game Mechanics
Moonbix is reminiscent of the classic Gold Miner games that were popular in the '90s. Players have 6 attempts, each lasting 45 seconds, to collect pieces of gold: larger chunks yield 50 points, surprise boxes give 30 (though this isn't guaranteed), medium pieces provide 25, and small ones offer 10. But be wary of black meteorites: hitting a small one results in a -10 point penalty, while a large one incurs a -20 point penalty.
As always, the concept is straightforward: players need to tap the screen at the right moment to launch a swinging hook in the desired direction to grab the most valuable gold nuggets while avoiding black meteorites.
Of course, completing social tasks and inviting friends grants additional bonuses. In the case of Moonbix, it’s necessary to create and link a Binance account.

- Only users from approved regions who have linked their Binance account within Moonbix—the Binance mini-app on Telegram—and have completed KYC can qualify for rewards.
- The welcome reward for new users is only available to those who meet the requirements specified in the new user zone, where conditions are subject to change at any time.
