Yesterday, something unusual occurred in the "Reserv+" app, resulting in some military personnel being granted a deferral from mobilization until the end of the martial law period. However, it later turned out that this was a bug due to the developers' active work on the project.

In comments on Facebook, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Ekaterina Chernogorenko clarified that the team is working on the implementation of automatic deferrals in the application. It is important to note that it was previously reported that automatic deferrals are expected to become operational this autumn. It seems this bug emerged in connection with the development of this feature.

“We are making automatic deferrals in the app so that you won’t need to submit any documents — just an application. We plan to roll out the first ones this autumn,” wrote Chernogorenko.

Later, in another comment, Ekaterina Chernogorenko added that the automatic deferral feature is expected to be implemented in the first decade of November. This would be very timely, as the current deferrals will expire at the end of the first decade of November.

Recall that, according to current legislation, a deferral from mobilization is granted until the martial law is lifted. The martial law in Ukraine is renewed every 90 days. Therefore, deferrals must be extended each time the martial law is announced to be extended. The last extension of martial law was until November 9. Thus, current deferrals are valid only until November 9, and starting from November 10, military personnel entitled to a deferral must once again prove their eligibility at the TCC and provide documents for extension.

If the developers manage to implement the automatic deferral feature in the first decade of November, at least some categories of military personnel will be able to extend their mobilization deferral without visiting the TCC. It was previously reported that this feature is being prepared for large families, students, and persons with disabilities.
