Very quickly after rumors surfaced regarding Intel's LGA-1700 socket processors without energy-efficient cores, the company revealed them. However, they appeared in a slightly different format within the current 14th generation.

Recently, a leak about Intel's plans for the LGA-1700 socket emerged, which includes the Bartlett Lake-S processor family. These processors are expected to feature a hybrid chip comprising Alder Lake / Raptor Lake with P-cores and E-cores, as well as a completely new chip composed solely of P-cores. It turns out that the latter concept is already implemented on the Raptor Lake base.

Intel has published the specifications for the new series of Core processors. Their names match existing models, except for the number “1” at the end and the letter “E”. The complete list of new models includes three Core i9, two Core i7, and four Core i5 processors. These are the processors:

  • Core i9-14901KE
  • Core i9-14901E
  • Core i9-14901TE
  • Core i7-14701E
  • Core i7-14701TE
  • Core i5-14501E
  • Core i5-14501TE
  • Core i5-14401E
  • Core i5-14401TE

According to Intel, the new chips are designed for embedded systems, meaning they are not intended for consumer use. Do not expect these processors to be utilized in gaming PCs. It’s worth noting that the KE models, such as the Core i9-14901KE, still maintain a TDP of 125W.

The i9-14901KE model boasts a higher base clock frequency, exceeding 600 MHz at 3.8 GHz, but a lower maximum frequency of 5.8 GHz instead of 6.0 GHz. There are also F variants, which lack integrated graphics, and T models that operate at 45W rather than the 35W typical of consumer chips. According to Intel, the new processors are already available.
