The Minister for Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin and CEO of Helsing GmbH Gundbert Sherf have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of security and defense. Helsing is a German company that develops software and integrates artificial intelligence into defense technologies.
This was the result of conferences on joint armaments production that took place in Ukraine and in Washington last year. Currently, the Ukrainian government is actively working with European countries and seeking partners in the development of armament technologies.
"Ahead are a series of conferences of such a scale as in Washington, where the US Special Representative for Economic Recovery of Ukraine Penny Pritzker, as well as the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, manufacturers, and other prominent figures were present. We are preparing a lot of surprises. I would like to remind you that joint armaments production was agreed upon by Volodymyr Zelensky and Joe Biden," - the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak.
Helsing has been a partner with Rheinmetall since 2022, and also collaborates with the Ministry of Defense of Germany. In Ukraine, the company has been operating since 2022. The aim of the Memorandum is to strengthen Ukrainian defense technologies and implement AI in UAVs of Ukrainian production.
