The top flagship Vivo X100 Ultra with one of the best cameras for smartphones has been presented. The phone has a 1" main camera with Sony LYT-900 sensor and a 200 MP periscopic telephoto lens with 1/1.4" ISOCELL HP9 sensor developed in cooperation with Samsung.
The 1/1.4" sensor on the periscope camera is the largest telephoto lens ever installed on a phone. The lens has an f/2.67 aperture and an equivalent focal length of 85mm. It also features Zeiss T coating and Zeiss APO certification, indicating improved clarity and high-quality contrast edges.
The periscopic lens has a x3.7 optical zoom, improved light sensitivity by 20%. The macro shooting mode provides up to x20 magnification. It also has CIPA 4.5 photo stabilization, which is considered one of the best.
This is the first device with its own BlueImage algorithm from Vivo, which was developed over eight years. It solves many common photography problems, including backlight and detail preservation in low light. The X100 Ultra also features the Vivo V3+ image processing chip, which supports recording and processing of 4K portrait video.
The main camera with 50 MP has a LYT-900 1/0.98" sensor, f/1.75 aperture, and 23 mm focal length. It supports video recording at up to 4K 120 fps with dedicated portrait mode 4K video and Dolby Vision support. The third camera on the back panel is an equivalent of a 14mm ultra-wide camera with a LYT-600 1/2-inch 50 MP sensor.
The X100 Ultra smartphone features a curved 6.78" E7 LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The screen has a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. The screen also features a 50 MP front camera and an ultrasound fingerprint scanner.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is paired with 12-16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, with storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB of UFS 4 storage. The 5500 mAh battery supports wired charging of 80 W and wireless charging of 30 W. The Vivo X100 Ultra supports 5.5G and dual-mode satellite connectivity in China.
The Vivo X100 Ultra is available in titanium, white, and gray colors. The price in China starts at $900 for the 12/256 GB version and goes up to $1105 for the 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage version.
