Samsung has encountered yet another quality issue with its products.

Recently, Samsung paused shipments of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro due to issues with the ear cups. This time, users are reporting paint peeling on the new premium Galaxy Watch Ultra, which costs $649. The issue emerged just a few days into their usage of the device.

A Reddit user with the handle bimmerb0ii shared his experience. He received his pre-ordered gray Galaxy Watch Ultra on July 19. The man wore the watch continuously, even while sleeping. However, just a few days later, after removing the device for charging, he noticed that the paint was beginning to peel off on the back of the case above the lower left screw.

It is important to note that the problem seems to be limited to the gray (Titanium Gray) version of the watch. The white and silver models have a paint coating only on the bezel and partially on the side surfaces.

The user contacted Samsung's text support. The company advised him to visit an authorized service center. However, there were no spare parts available for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, so the staff recommended contacting Samsung for a replacement device.

The replacement process turned out to be complicated and lengthy. Initially, the company offered the user $22 compensation to keep the watch. After he declined this offer, Samsung provided instructions for returning and replacing the device, which involved sending back the faulty watch, waiting two weeks for a refund, purchasing a new device at full price, and then contacting the company again for a discount to match the previous order's price.
