The studio Ndemic Creations has released a new mobile simulator, After Inc., where players will rebuild civilization after a zombie apocalypse.
Decades after humanity was devastated by the Necroa virus, survivors begin to reconstruct society. Players will manage a settlement set in a picturesque post-apocalyptic United Kingdom, exploring ruins, gathering resources, and expanding their territory.
“Unlike our previous games, After Inc. is not based on real events. There’s no need to worry about a real zombie apocalypse just yet,” notes James Vaughan, the founder of Ndemic Creations.
The game combines elements of strategy simulation, city-building, and the 4X genre. Players will face complex decisions regarding societal development, from democratic issues to the practical use of domesticated animals. There are 10 unique leaders available in the game, each with different abilities.
Ndemic Creations, founded in 2012 in Bristol, gained fame through the game Plague Inc., where users managed the spread of a deadly virus. The project became one of the most successful in mobile gaming history, with over 190 million players. The game particularly drew attention during the COVID-19 pandemic, with many users downloading it while in quarantine.
The game is now available on iOS and Android. A PC version is set to be released in 2025.
