Windows 11 is dominating Steam completely, chosen by 50.81% of users, showing a substantial growth of +3.36% over the past month.
The increase in Windows 11's share has coincided with a nearly equal decrease in Windows 10's percentage, which now stands at 48.66% (-3.29%). Other operating systems also experienced slight declines, with gamers moving away from the outdated Windows 7 (0.38%; -0.05%) and Windows 8.1 (0.07%; -0.01%).
In the graphics card market, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 for desktops has long held the top spot, although it has seen a slight drop (5.51%; -0.37%). The laptop version, the RTX 4060, has rapidly risen to second place, increasing to 4.55% (+1.34%) within a month and surpassing the previous leader, the GTX 1650 (3.91%; -0.09%). The significant growth percentage of the current generation mobile graphics adapter suggests it could easily take the lead—possibly even next month. The mobile RTX 3060 is also performing well, rising to 3.50% (+0.50%), which could soon push it into third place.
Gamers are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of RAM. 16 GB is long considered the "gentleman's standard," but the transition to this volume is still ongoing. Currently, 47.35% have this amount of RAM, with an increase of +1.50%. Smaller memory sizes are losing share as expected, and even 32 GB is experiencing a notable decline (30.76%; -0.64%). There is a slight increase seen in systems with 48 GB, 64 GB, and more.
The market share for Intel processors has decreased (66.69%; -0.71%), yet it still accounts for more than two-thirds, while AMD holds a third with growth (33.26%; +0.72%). Other chip shares remain minimal.
Simplified Chinese has been the leading language in Steam for several months, gaining ground with a share of 35.97% (+3.05%). English is in second place with a corresponding drop (29.79%; -2.83%). The Ukrainian language maintains a stable 0.6% with slight fluctuations.
