Yesterday, the terrorist organization known as Russia launched an attack on Dnipro using a ballistic missile. According to the Air Forces and Stratcom, for the first time in the world, Russia employed an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead for the attack on Ukraine. Today, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense provided more details regarding this shelling.
It was noted that the strike on Dnipro on November 21, 2024, was carried out with a ballistic missile, likely from the "Kedr" missile system. The missile's flight time from launch in the Astrakhan region to impact in the city of Dnipro was 15 minutes.
The missile carried six warheads, each equipped with six submunitions. Videos released showed six waves of attack, each consisting of strikes from multiple submunitions. Their speed in the final trajectory segment exceeded 11 Mach (about 13,500 km/h).
Tests of the "Kedr" missile system took place in October 2023 and June 2024 at the Kapustin Yar range in the Astrakhan region. Various Russian research centers and defense industry enterprises from Moscow, Voronezh, and Volgograd were involved in the development of the system.
