It has been revealed that OnePlus is developing a compact flagship smartphone powered by a high-end processor. This information comes from Digital Chat Station.
According to a new leak, OnePlus is working on a compact phone featuring a 6.31-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K. Despite its small size, this device is expected to compete with leading Android smartphones in terms of performance and functionality. This model will be equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
With OPPO also preparing a compact version of the Find X8, the launch of a compact flagship from OnePlus appears to be a logical move. Although both brands belong to the same parent company, BBK Electronics, their compact flagships are expected to have unique designs and different processors, which will help avoid internal competition.
Details about the processor in the Find X8 Mini remain unknown, but rumors suggest it may feature the Dimensity 9400. If the OnePlus compact smartphone adopts the Snapdragon 8 Elite, this could reinforce this theory.
It is also reported that OnePlus is set to release the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro models next month, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite processors, respectively.
There is speculation that the compact phone might join the OnePlus Ace series, potentially debuting as the Ace 5 Pro.
