S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World is showing impressive sales figures following its release on November 20. According to Video Game Insights, the game sold 1.4 million copies (GSC had reported one million) on the Steam platform within just the first five days.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 shows particularly strong performance in the United States, which accounts for 22% of total sales. Ukraine ranks second with a share of 16%. Germany and China each have 7% of the overall sales distribution.
The peak number of concurrent players on Steam reached 121,000. The average time spent in the game is 7.6 hours. Although the game maintains a 78% positive rating on Steam, player reviews indicate that technical issues at launch have somewhat influenced the overall perception.
The anticipation for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was evident even before its release — around 400,000 new users added the game to their wishlists a month prior to launch. The game particularly resonates with players who are fans of similar projects, showing significant overlap with the audience of titles like The Forever Winter, Witchfire, and Incursion Red River.
