A major premiere took place: after the teaser leaked by IGN journalists in the morning with the Warhorse release window, Warhorse announced its new game, which turned out to be Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (What a surprise!). Congratulations to all fans of the original "Kama" from 2018, who have finally waited for the sequel. More precisely, its announcement, the game should be released by the end of 2024.

First Look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

The entire show lasted just under 14 minutes, including comments from actors and developers. The game is being developed on the CryEngine engine. It is a direct continuation of the adventures of Henry from Skalitz. We were shown an impressive cinematic trailer, which starts with an introductory live-action scene that introduces the main characters of the game - a matured Henry, played by actor Tom Mackey, and his faithful squire Sir Hans played by Luke Dale. The developers immediately noted that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, whose development started 6 years ago, essentially embodies what the original game should have been if the developers had the resources back then to implement all their ideas.

The official genre is action-RPG in a realistic open world of medieval Europe. The events of the game take place in the midst of the chaos of the civil war in Bohemia in the 15th century, with the epicenter in the new part being the city of Kutna Hora. The story follows Henry, who barely survived a raid on his native village, as he sets out on a path of revenge for the murder of his parents. The new part elaborates on the story of his transition from an inspired warrior to a rebel who stands against King Sigismund the Red Fox of Hungary and his sinister allies.

The developers promise to maintain their signature meticulous approach to characters and story. The trailer showed numerous cutscene fragments, allowing to assess the atmosphere and aesthetics, but so far without live gameplay. The game world in the second part is twice as large as in the first, and there are five hours of "grand" cutscenes compared to three in the original. The combat system has been significantly revamped - offering a variety of historically accurate weapons (swords, rifles, crossbows). Players can also choose between different combat styles, attacking enemies head-on, on horseback, or stealthily. The sequel will also feature a reputation system, where the player's actions influence the fates of characters and story development.

"On foot, horseback, or sneaking, you can specialize in elegant swordplay, brutal melee with striking weapons, or deadly long-range shots"

The release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is planned for 2024 - Henry's adventures will continue on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game already has pages on Steam and Epic Games Store, but they are mostly empty. In Steam, for example, there is currently no information on localization to other languages (except English), but the text in the images has been translated into Ukrainian.

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in February 2018. This atmospheric first-person open-world RPG immerses players in a detailed recreation of the historical reality of 15th-century Bohemia, telling the story of Henry, a blacksmith's son forging his own path in medieval society. Despite a challenging creative path, the game received high ratings: on Metacritic, it has 76 out of 100 points from journalists and 8.1 out of 10 from players. The Steam rating is 82% positive reviews.
  • On March 15, Warhorse released the "Royal Edition" on Nintendo Switch (there are no native versions of Kingdom Come: Deliverance for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), and in February, Warhorse reported that the sales of Kingdom Come: Deliverance exceeded 6 million copies.
